Sunday 15/12/2024
Today marks the official launch of a new series called “The Daily Dose,” where I’ll share a small insight into my life as a professional athlete. Each entry will highlight one thing I accomplish daily that contributes to my goal of becoming 1% better every day.
Let's Begin
Since today is Sunday, it’s a rest day from skills training. I’ve had a restful day catching up on life administration tasks that I’ve neglected over the past few days, all while preparing for the upcoming week of training. For instance, I paid my tax bill, did the laundry, went grocery shopping, and prepared my meals for the week.
My 1% better achievement today was going for an easy 5km run. I currently have a slight tweak in my hamstring tendon, so I needed to take my body for a flush run in hopes of alleviating the pain as we move into the next week of training. I have a competition at the end of the week, so it’s crucial for me to address this issue to ensure I can perform at my best.
My run stats:
Total time: 25:34
Avg pace: 5:07mins/km.
Avg Heart Rate: 159bmp.
That caps off day 1. Stay tuned for day 2 tomorrow.
